Wildeye Winery Zinfandel, Lodi, CA 2022
Red
The 2022 vintage was ideal for producing high quality, fruity and elegant wines. With dry spring, temperatures remaining constant through bloom resulting in a very good fruit set for Zinfandel. Warm weather during the day and cool nights allowed for fruit to mature at a normal rate, from bud break, to berry set, to harvest. There were no wildfires that endangered the fruit during the growing season.
Pairings: Slow-Braised Beef Short Ribs, Herb-Crusted Lamb Chops, Smoked Texas-Style Beef Brisket

Attractive greenish color with golden reflections. Complex and concentrated aromas revealing citric notes and tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango, apple and white peach – combined with vanilla notes from the aging in French oak barrels. Elegant mouthfeel, with good acidity and mineral notes. Refreshing and well-structured, with a touch of vanilla, and a long and pleasant finish.
Pairings: Herb-Roasted Chicken, Grilled Lamb Chops, Wild Mushroom Risotto

This wine is perceived as bright and concentrated with vivid violet-red notes. On the nose it has typical aromas such as fresh plum, spices and menthol.The wine fills the palate with flavor and elegance with soft tannins that accompany the long and persistent finish.
