Frisson Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley CA 2022
Couldn't load pickup availability
This inky and fabulously fun-to-drink Cabernet was made by acclaimed winemaker Kevin Morrissey. (Trivia: He was the first American ever granted a spot on the winemaking team at the iconic Château Pétrus.) Frisson has been a small-batch Napa stronghold since 2009, and vineyard selection is their specialty. They sourced this fruit from a Coombsville site that we can’t disclose (NDAs and such) but it’s a renowned and coveted vineyard whose quality and flair will be evident on your tongue.
Tasting Notes: Dense and ripe, opening with cassis, blackberry, and fig layered over cocoa, cedar, and toasted spice. The mouth is full and plush with firm, fine tannins, a generous mid-palate, hints of mushroom and graphite, and a long, warming finish.
Pairings: Rosemary Garlic Ribeye, Braised Short Ribs, Truffle Mushroom Pasta
Acclaim: 94 Points, Decanter
Composition: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Napa Valley
