- Heavy cream (1 cup): The base for the luxurious creamy sauce.
- White wine (1 cup): Adds acidity and depth to balance the richness of the cream.
- Parmesan cheese (½ cup, shredded): Enhances the sauce with a savory, nutty flavor.
- Spaghetti or fettuccine (12 oz): A perfect vehicle to absorb the creamy sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add butter, minced garlic, and chopped onions. Cook until the onions are soft. Pour in the white wine and simmer until reduced by half. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, thickening slightly.
- Combine and serve: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, stirring to coat. Place the cooked chicken on top of the pasta. Let it warm for a few minutes, then serve with extra Parmesan on top.
