2018 Olivia Edmund Pinot Noir Sonoma County
- USA
- Red
Pale ruby in color. Evocative aromas of Rainier cherries, fresh strawberries, kola nut, forest floor, dried mushrooms, and rose petals call from the glass before you even get it to your nose. It’s light in body, with fine, satiny tannins. Red cherry and raspberry fruitiness build, supported by a touch of earth on the finish. Drink now - 2024.

2017 Raats Family Wines Jasper Red Blend Stellenbosch, ZA
- South Africa
- Bordeaux Blend
- Red
A different take on the Bordeaux blend, with a high percentage of Cabernet Franc and Malbec, this is complex and intriguing. Great purity of fruit, combined with freshness, leafy characters and some fine tannins. Good acidity to finish. Elegant and refined – a very good Stellenbosch blend.
2021 Natte Valleij Farm Cinsault Coastal Region, ZA
- South Africa
- Grenache
- Red
Light, cherries, plum, fresh. Like some of the best Grenache from the Western Cape, this is a seriously dangerous wine! Worth seeking out, and now keenly following this producer.
2021 Thorne & Daughters Rocking Horse White Western Cape, ZA
- South Africa
- Roussanne, Sémillon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc
- White
Roussanne, Sémillon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and a drop of Clairette Blanche were carefully blended, resulting in a wine with a creamy texture and lively acidity backing plenty of fruit flavors. Peach, mango and white grapefruit join notes of grass for a lasting finish.
