Dry Creek in Sonoma County is home to some of the best heritage Zinfandel vineyards in the world. This is a perfect example. Bold and ripe Zinfandel fruit, with sweet spice from it's 10 month oak ageing. The perfect match for mid-week pasta dinners or perhaps some low and slow bbq. It's easy to see why they have been growing Zinfandel here for 165 years!
Tasting Notes: Dark cherry hues with seductive blackberry, brambly plum, and spicy oak aromas. Bold flavors of black-cherry jam, raspberry, cola, mocha, and anise follow. The muscular palate ends with soft tannins and a warm finish of vanilla spice.
Pairings: Grilled Lamb Chops, Barbecue Ribs, Aged Gouda Cheese
Composition: Zinfandel, Petite Sirah
