Ingredients
- Shrimp: 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Marinade: 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Skewers: Wooden or metal skewers
- Optional Garnish: Fresh parsley, lemon wedges
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Allow the shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15-30 minutes.
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Skewer and Grill: Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers. Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink, opaque, and have a slight char.
- Serve: Remove the shrimp from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve hot, paired with your chosen wine—Sauvignon Blanc, unoaked Chardonnay, dry Rosé, or a light-bodied Pinot Noir—to enhance the flavors of the grilled shrimp.
